Let’s Overcome Together
I am Basanta Dhungana from Nepal. I am a Professional Social Worker. I am involved in a social project of CWIN Nepal in Myagdi district. Due to Covid-19 I am working from home nowadays. As the world is facing the pandemic we all are worried. Nepal is in lockdown stage due to rising cases of Covid-19 and in this situation, most of us are in frustration of being at home, being out of a job or the downfall of business. But still we must not lose our hope. Nepal had faced huge loss from earthquake some years ago but we made our selves strong and we were able to rise again. Now, we are facing this pandemic and I believe we will overcome this as well.
In our lives there will be many ups and downs, we should take them as an opportunity to learn. I have faced many good and bad experiences. Accepting the situation, not losing our hope and finding the way out from smart planning are required. During this situation of covid-19 pandemic most of us are feeling frustrated, fear and stress. It is hard to build up confidence wherever you are. But if you apply the creative tricks you might enjoy this time fully. Before, I used to stay far away from my family due to my job, but now I am living with my family as I believe friends and family are the perfect means to share your happiness, fear, stress or any emotions at all. So, if possible always be with your family or friends. Share your feelings with them, help in their work, and keep yourself busy as an idle mind is devil’s workshop.
There are 2 ways to go about any situation: constructive and destructive. If you grab constructive ways to overcome the difficult situation you will enjoy every situation. For example, I love writing literature, coloring pictures, traveling and photography. I express my stress, tensions and every feeling through these activities. When I feel lonely and bored, I just grab my camera or mobile and go around to click. If you try to express your hidden feelings through art, you will feel relaxed from inside. So, try to express every hidden feeling through any of the creative processes that you love. Beyond these I regularly do physical exercise, mediation, yoga and religious activities as we must be healthy: mentally, physically and spiritually. Make plans for yourself for healthy things that you enjoy doing. You need to increase your immunity power you must pay attention to a balanced diet also.
So, come let’s begin with our self. Stay safe, follow the instructions of health experts and overcome this pandemic. Let’s overcome this together.
