Book Donation Drive against COVID 19

COVID-19 pandemic is like nothing else,as it is the war against the unseen enemy. The enemy that can spread to hundreds of people within a minute and the rising trend across the world is horrifying. It has tested the capacities and capabilities of health infrastructures to the fullest. The injury to the economy it will cause is of no doubt. The deadly invisible enemy has really created havoc in the world.

Our king spends sleepless nights traveling across the country and monitoring the preparedness to fight the virus, if it spreads in the country. Our Prime Minister and MoH leaving no stone unturned to keep the virus at bay. All the government ministries working with their agencies to do something that can prevent the virus causing some injury to the economy.  Religious organizations performing various rituals to fight virus spiritually, volunteers team up with police and dessups (national volunteers) team up patrolling, ensuring every shop closes and there aren’t any movement of vehicles beyond 7 PM.

While all returnees to the country are kept in a quarantine facility for 21 days where they are provided with everything, staying inside for so long is at times quite stressful. For that matter, the alumni of Foundational Leadership Program(FLP) from Royal Institute of Governance and Strategic studies (RIGSS) are collaborating with HOPE COVID-19 Bhutan and initiating a book donation drive across the country to be distributed to our countrymen in the quarantine.

This noble initiative is carried on by project Sherab (Project initiated by FLP Alumni) with Hope COVID-19 Bhutan. All interested donors can donate books, ebooks, magazines, journals and even audio books that will be distributed to people in quarantine.

Donate books, let’s protect mental health while keeping COVID-19 away.
