COVID-19 has given us more time than any vacation given to us all these years. Staying home is not easy and it is more difficult especially when you are a working woman like me and you tend to spend most of your time inside with your friends. Cooking has always been my hobby and when I started sharing posts about my recipes, I realized I received a good response from my friends and acquaintances on social media. I have started getting questions about my recipes and people took more interest in knowing what I shall be cooking each day or weekends. This quarantine time was initially very difficult for me but sooner I realized that this is the only time where I can work more upon my culinary skills. This is a time I can use cooking as a therapy session and also share recipes with my friends and families who are stuck at home and are in no position to go out for family buffet or dinner parties. Hence, I tried my hands on experimenting on a variety of dishes that can be experimented with. I was overwhelmed to see such positive feedback from everyone and people enjoying my recipes. I could see some of my friends also started following me and found a good way to spend their time productively. This motivated me more and I found my solace in cooking. I realized that cooking can be so therapeutic and relaxing during such times and the immense joy of cooking for your loved and dear ones which usually we don’t get due to our busy schedules. This lockdown has probably groomed the inner chef within me and trained me more to be a better cook.
