Often people ask me what I gain from meditation, I don’t gain anything. But what I lose is fear, anxiety and doubt. Meditation is one thing I never start my day or end my day without. With meditation I have cultivated a relationship to my inner world, my most important world. With this relationship with my inner world, my outer world flows with great joy. There is never resistance, only acceptance. When I look within in stillness realize that life is still, every event and every person adds color, adds depth but the very essence of life is still. With this realization I have developed contentment with just being still, that is my natural state that is the essence of my being. My point here is that when your soul is content, there never needs to be a person or event to make you happy, you already are. Therefore, everything that happens in your life is just an addition to that, you appreciate things while they are in your life and you respect when it’s time to let go. Detachment is the purest form of love because your love is not based on what people or events in your life can give to you, it is based on unconditional love. When you are able to live in stillness you are content, and with this contentment you are always free.
