With her blonde hair fluttering leisurely
In the pristine air of the summer nights
I remember her standing there.
Once upon a time when I was thirteen
I remember how our souls danced
Through the nights
And the endless kisses I darted across my
Open window

I stare at her open window
Unaware

Now the days are dull and the nights lonely
She left my sight not even a silhouette left
The night sleeps as quiet as fire,
Except for the shuttering window she left open.

Once I was fifteen years old
When I was close to her
Closer than the ocean would meet the sky
I’ve grown old and grey
With her smile still hanging on my glasses
And I heard she is already beyond the world
Eventually the winter nights are here
And I still see the open window.
